• A moment later, Ethan yanked her back forcefully from Tyler’s arms, the look in his eyes hostile. “She has a lot of debt to pay. Once she’s done paying, and once I’m tired of her, I’ll give her to you, Mr. Robinson. Is that fine?”
• It was a simple exchange, but it was obvious they refused to put up the pretense of harmony anymore.
• Tyler looked at her quietly, noting to himself how enchanting she looked with that smile on her face, for he could barely take his eyes off her. To him, Lauren was so gorgeous, so elegant, but what came out of her mouth next was different from her image. “Oh, you’re petty, Mr. Parker. The Robinsons are on the same level as your family, no?
