Chapter 53

• “Nora, you can’t do that, you can’t keep thinking about him, for fuck, sake,”
• Nora scolded herself for the tenth time that morning, it was getting out of hand, just one week in Luca’s presence and now, he was all she could think about, and not in an innocent way or even in the way that she ought to. He should be a villain in her head not a fucking knight that she wants to fuck; last night while he laid next to her, it had taken everything in her not to throw herself at him, she still couldn’t figure out why she had thought it was a good idea to ask him to sleep next to her. She couldn’t blame the fear that had entered her at the sight of that big man who had been the one to pick her up at the airport. That fear didn’t last, Luca made him apologize for what he did and the man seemed remorseful. She could admit that she had been so scared especially when she saw the gun, but then he started apologizing after he realized who she was but it was too late then because she already started crying and begging for her life, for a moment, while he had the gun pointed at her, Nora had thought Luca brought her to him so that he could finish her. He had looked so angry with the gun pointed at her.
• She might never know what the woman who they were all looking for did to make them all angry but at least, now she knows that his men would not be coming after her again.
