• Luca watched his woman sleep, she looked so beautiful and peaceful sleeping beside him. He didn’t know what he did to deserve her but he couldn’t thank the universe enough for sending her to him. Now he couldn’t imagine a life without her. two months, the past two months hadn’t been easy for him but with her by his side, he could do anything, waking up each day to her made everything bearable, he had to relearn how to do everything but it wasn’t so hard for him when each time he looked around, she was there cheering him on. He didn’t know how best to pay her back. She came into his life and never looked back, not even when he told her to leave, she vowed to be with him, believed in him even when he had doubts; her words of encouragement, the way she was there each time he was so close to giving up, telling him just how much she loved him. He could say her love healed him.
• She never asked anything in return but he vowed to take care of her for the rest of their life. He already had plans in place to propose to her as soon as he was out of the hospital, he had been talking to Maria about it and she was the one helping with the preparations. After he got the news that he would be discharged sooner than he had thought, he texted Maria even before they got home the date he wanted. A week from now, he would ask her to marry him and hopefully, she would say yes; he was pretty confident that she would say yes because she loves him too much to say no to him but that doesn’t mean he wasn’t nervous.
