Chapter 14

• Luca got busy for the rest of the week, he got a call from his Russia branch that something urgently needed his attention and he had to leave as soon as he arrived at the office. He called the doctor to tell him to make sure to keep him posted in case anything goes wrong and to be on a safer side, he had his men watch her twenty-hours a day without leaving her side. If his instance was correct which it always was, then that witch would want to show up around her when she was sure he wasn’t close. But she never showed her face and he spent the rest of the week in Russia. Everyday, he called to ask if she was awake but she remained asleep and he started to worry that she might take a long time to wake up like he had two years ago. He turned off her phone to avoid her getting any calls as he was sure he wasn’t ready to speak to anyone who might be looking for her. If she was awake, it would be a different case but she was yet to wake up so he had nothing to say to whoever would call her.
• Friday, he got on the plane and landed back in Milan at about seven pm. Instead of going to his penthouse, he told his driver to take him to the hospital as he wanted to see her progress with his eyes. He also wanted to speak with the doctor face to face and hear from him why she was still not waking up even though he kept telling him that she was doing fine. He first walked to the room where she was kept.
