• I was stunned as I watched Dane walk away with the werewolf girl in his arms. He was holding her in a bridal style which made me more furious. How could he do something like this? Why would he choose to favor a girl that was inferior to him? She was from the Silvermoon pack. And worst of all, she was the sister to Finn Slater. All of these made no sense to me. Why would Dane keep her and why didn’t she choose to go back home with her brother? Had Dane promised her something? It seemed so. That couldn’t be true.
• A few hours ago, I spotted them entering his playroom. There was no doubt that something horrible had been done there. He had told me that she was only his plaything. He was using her to pass the time until our wedding, but I felt there was more to it. There was something about her that made him furious every time I confronted her.
