Chapter 16

• My palms were trembling as I was rushed into the town hall. The hall was filled. Everybody was present to hear what judgment shall be passed on me. Who wouldn’t want to witness the downfall of the once-beloved princess of the pack?
• It all felt like a dream. It had been three nights since that horrible moment, but I still couldn’t get the pictures out of my head. The images of my parents lying dead in a pool of blood in our living room and the accusations my brother had rained on me. It all felt surreal. It couldn’t be true.
