• I closed my eyes waiting for the impact of Kiara’s hand but it didn’t come. After a few seconds of waiting in vain, I opened my eyes and saw her hand held in mid-air. A strong, familiar fragrance filled my nose and my body grew rigid as I recognized who it was immediately. King Dane.
• King Dane was holding Kiara’s hand and his face was twisted in anger. I could see the rags in his icy blue eyes. My heart was thumping hard against my chest as I stared at him. I never thought that he would come to my rescue. But here he was, being my knight in shining armor.
