Chapter 35 Veiled Provocation
- “I’ll be out in a minute,” I say, clearing my throat as I grab my iPad and curl up in a nearby wingback chair while I search for Belinda’s email. It’s only now that I realize my hand is shaking. And that my panties are soaked.
- “Are you okay?” Michael asks, his bright green eyes shining as they meet mine. They look genuine, not lustful at all. Why does Diego think I like him? And why would it matter if Michael was in love with me? I’m not dating anyone, and Diego isn’t attracted to me. Or did he just admit that he Is? I’m still too nervous to understand what happened and everything that was said.
- “Yes. Thank you,” I murmur, offering Michael a smile. He starts stretching his fingers one by one, warming them up for a day of work.
