• I turn back to the footage, dismissing him with a sigh. I’ve already sent messages, pushing to find out where Brian is. Either I get the killer’s name from the footage, or I find him. One way or another, someone’s ending up dead in the next twenty-four hours.
• Hours pass as I comb through the footage, marking down every person or vehicle that appeared more than once around the time of Lucy’s death. My mind starts to blur from exhaustion, but I keep going.
