• As the night goes on, the room becomes a blur of laughter, clinking glasses, and the buzz of old friends catching up. Dante and Callum drift between groups, soaking in their final night of freedom before their weddings, while others join in various drinking games. It’s all loud, lighthearted chaos.
• Eventually, the crowd begins to thin out. Dante and Callum step out for a while, and others gravitate toward the gaming tables. The noise quiets to a low murmur, the kind of background buzz that fades when your mind starts to wander. I find myself alone at a corner table, the half-empty whiskey glass sitting in front of me as I idly trace a pattern in the condensation. I’m maybe too drunk, I don’t remember a lot of tonight, just Dante handing me shots like it was juice.
