• “That’s correct,” the doctor replies, his voice calm but sure. “Everything we’ve observed suggests this is temporary. The fact that Callum is mumbling means the motor functions required for speech are intact, but his brain and muscles need time to synchronize again. If needed, we can consider speech therapy later, but I don’t expect it to be necessary unless there are prolonged issues.”
