Chapter 17

• It's going well. All too well, a matter of fact. Ella is sliding right along into the role while Clyde dislikes the amount of leering. He's had fewer problems with Henry since he got Ella to be a go-between of sorts.
• There are a lot of out-of-towners that week and it’s probably not far off to compare it to the E3 of crime.
• But it means yet another night at the lounge, small talk with Clyde’s associates’ wives, and less time with Dixon having to be at her shoulder. Which is the extent of it until a knock at the door. Without much thought, Dixon answers, frowning as the employee speaks quickly. Almost instantly, he's moving quickly but calmly to speak softly in Ella's ear.
