- The black Jeep rumbled down the pebble-strewn path of the quiet neighborhood. The dull Autumn Sun glinted off the roofs of the whitewashed houses that sat between a groove of autumnal trees, plants, and flowers behind white picket fences.
- "How homely," Antoinette said thoughtfully as she took in the early morning character of the village. They headed to Clapham village, searching for the one clue that could lead her to know the fate of her brother, be he dead or alive.
- "How many more minutes are left until we get there? We have been on this journey for over six hours, and I am feeling cramped up." she groaned and turned to Lizzie, stretching to prove her point.
