• "That's quite strange," Edgar said thoughtfully as he watched the breaking news about the missing retired journalist. "Why would he just suddenly disappear for almost two days? He is an adult, not some kid."
• Carlos sat opposite Edgar at his desk, quietly working on some important files. His mind sometimes wanders to the slumbering Rosalind on the office's couch. Hearing the news play on, he smirked and shook his head slightly. 'What does Antoinette need the man for?' he wondered lightly when he heard the report that no surveillance system had caught any image of the unfortunate man's exit.
• Edgar sighed and set aside his phone to grab the plain-looking jewelry box he had gotten for Rosalind yesterday off the table to examine its contents. He clicked his tongue thoughtfully as he studied the tiny gold chain studded with little chunks of Ruby stone.
