Chapter 23
- “Hi… Aurélien,” Antoinette called, storming into the black wood and glass-themed office. Aurélien was seated behind the half-moon-shaped desk, immersed in a book he was reading. He looked up at her, a pleasant smile on his face.
- “Hey, Toni,” he called with laughter in his voice, opening his hands wide, bracing himself for the impact. She rounded his table and slammed into him, crushing him with a hug. “Aw, Toni. You never change,” he exclaimed, groaning in pain as he tried to release himself from her grip.
- Antoinette pulled away, laughing as she hopped playfully onto the table. Aurélien shook his head at her troublesome attitude that had seemed to stick to her since she was little. He leaned against the wooden pillar, watching the beautiful woman in front of him. He turned towards the door in surprise when he noticed a movement in the corner of his eyes. He saw Lizzie stand at attention by the door, her face Stoic and expressionless.
