Chapter 11

• Léa was seated on the porch on the terrace, wondering why her brother didn't return last night when Aurélien came in. The disappointment and hurt he felt from his encounter with Vivienne the night before, seemed to seep into every part of his being. He sank into the sun couch under the shade, feeling drained and exhausted. Léa, looked at him with concern, her eyes full of curiosity. “What happened?” she asked gently, taking a seat next to him.
• He hesitated for a moment, not sure where to begin. Finally, he told her everything that had happened, from the paparazzi harassing her to the rejection.
• Léa's expression shifted as she realized the part she had played in what had happened. “I'm so sorry I set you up for this without consulting you first,” she said, her voice heavy with regret. “I had no idea that it would turn out like this. I feel terrible that I caused you to feel this way.”
