Chapter 12
- The car's engine hummed as it sped down the highway, the wheels rumbling against the pavement. Edgar sat in the passenger seat, his eyes fixed on Rosalind beside him. The moonlight streamed through the window, illuminating her face. He couldn't help but notice how beautiful she looked, how radiant her skin was, how her eyes sparkled. She was wearing a midnight blue dress that seemed to glow against her skin. Edgar felt his heart beating faster as he thought about how much she meant to him. She had given him a new purpose in life, a reason to keep going.
- Rosalind noticed Edgar's gaze fixated on her, her face coloring slightly. She closed her eyes, letting herself savor the moment. She let her thought to wander back to the events of the day, the things she had gathered from the crash course he had given her about Montgomery’Co.
- She blushed as she remembered the way he had looked at her earlier, the love and admiration in his eyes. Rosalind had felt him falling even more deeply in love with her. At that moment, she felt great, as if she was finally reaching her goal.
