She had no idea where the dark witch was. If she was here, then she would have probably left already after realizing the place was empty. Diana scrunched her nose in disgust. There was no doubt that this place was one of the dark witches' hideouts. The whole place reeked of dark magic.
• Devon went off to search the cave for any trace of Alice. After walking around for a while, he stopped abruptly in front of a door. Although it was faint, he could smell her scent. She pushed open the room door and then he became sure that his mate was there. They were late. If he had come sooner, he would have been able to take her away from the dark witches and keep her safe. He ran his hand through his hair in frustration and tried to see if her scent would lead him anywhere away from the cave.
