Chapter 173 It's The End For Both Of You

• Alice opened another portal and she and Joan emerged in the house she used to live with her aunt. It felt like ages ago since she was last year and it hadn't been that long, only a few months had passed. Alice stopped at the gate and couldn't bring herself to go in. Joan saw how hesitant she was and held her hand. Alice raised her eyes to look at her friend and Joan nodded reassuring Alice.
• Alice pushed the gate of the house open slowly and what she saw wasn't what she was expecting. She was expecting the house to be in completely bad shape because of the fight that occurred between Devon and Jared. That wasn't the case; the front door had been replaced and the outside wall was painted, which made the house look new. There was a little garden which was close to the front porch. Her aunt loved planting. Alice remembered how colourful their front porch always looked. She thought all the plants would have been dead already.
• A bright smile appeared on her face. This was Devon's doing, and her love for him increased with each passing day, she couldn't love that man less, when he does things like this it makes her heart swell. Joan wondered why Alice looked so surprised and delighted but didn't say anything about it. Alice walked to the front door and turned the knob. It was locked, she was expecting that since there was a new door, her key wouldn't work anymore.
