Devon was standing at the far end of the room listening to everything. Liam sighed deeply and ran his hand through his hair. Each day was filled with more and more bad news. He was getting frustrated by the dark witches' frequent attacks. Now the southern border had been compromised. They couldn't retaliate because they were at a higher risk of losing if they did.

It was like they had someone behind them edging them on giving them more boldness. The dark witches had been in existence for centuries even after their leader died. But they never once dared to attack. Something was up.

Devon could only stare at her. None of this affected her in any way.
