Chapter 193 Alice's Safety

• Joan's eyes fluttered open an hour later to see Liam, Diana and Devon standing by her bedside. It took her a few seconds to register everything that had happened. “Alice!” She said and got up abruptly. “Where is Alice!” Her hand travelled to her head because of the splitting headache she had. “What happened?” Devon asked her immediately without wasting time. He had been waiting for her to wake up after much persuasion from Liam for him to be calm and not rush out of the Palace like a crazy person to find his mate. “We were attacked by dark witches while taking a walk in the garden and…” Joan groaned a bit in pain. “I don't remember what happened next, we fought back and we were about to alert the guards but everything went dark all of a sudden”
• “Is Alice okay? Where is she?” Joan waited for a response, worry was evident in her eyes. “She was taken” Diana was the one who answered her.” what!” Joan exclaimed and tried to get out of the bed. But Diana stopped her Immediately. “We have to find her, she is in danger, she can't exert herself, what about the baby!” Joan yelled out in worry. “Baby?” Devon said in confusion. “Shit!” Diana cursed under her breath. This was bad. Devon was going to lose his cool. Joan started to cry and started trembling. “She is pregnant, we found out a few days ago after you left” She explained. Devon felt like his whole body went rigid and he stumbled backwards.
• Devon felt a pang in his heart and his worry skyrocketed. “I have to get her back” He started to mutter before storming out of the room. Joan was standing already but her legs felt wobbly and almost fell but Liam supported her. “Go after him Diana” Liam said to the witch who cursed under her breath again. She used her powers and teleported out of the room. She knew she couldn't catch up with Devon by foot, he was a . supreme Alpha. She hoped his wolf hadn't taken over by the time she found him. “We need to get her back,” Joan sobbed. Her heart aches when she thinks about what the dark witches might do to Alice.
