Chapter 194 Alicia

• Alice yelped in pain as she tried to free her hands from the ropes that were tied firmly around her hands and legs. Her eyes scanned the room that she was in, but she couldn't see a thing. It was pitch black. After much struggle, she was able to free one of her hands. She soon got her second hand and legs free also. Where was she? The last thing she remembers was a dark mist surrounding her and Joan, and then she opened her eyes and found herself in this dark room. She was probably taken by the dark witches. She figured that part out when she saw that she was tied. What about Joan? Was she taken too? She hoped not.
• Alice sighed deeply and started the plan she had been thinking about in her head as she was trying hard to free herself from those tight ropes. It wasn't anything grand. She just needed to open up a portal that would take her back to the Palace. The only problem was that she didn't know if Joan was still her and was placed in another room. She couldn't get Joan out by herself she needed all the help she could get from the people at the Palace. “Let's do this” Alice stretched out both her hands and started the process of making a portal with her energy. A small light ball started to form slowly, and then it stopped getting bigger. Alice groaned and tried to make it bigger, but it didn't work.
• The light ball was stuck at the same size. She needed it to become bigger if she wanted to open a portal that meant her escape from this place. She tried and tried again till she was completely drained out. Alice found the wall through the darkness and held it for support. Why wasn't her powers working? This must be the dark witches doing. But from what she heard from Diana, dark magic couldn't work against her powers. It was like light against darkness. So why couldn't she open a portal? “It won't work”
