Chapter 45 Lachlan
- Tyr was not going to allow me to let Seren walk away from us. Not when he saw the look within her eyes. She had realized the truth. That much was clear. A truth I had fought since the moment I had realized it on the day I had shifted for the first time. I could see the pain in her eyes. She likely did not want it. Just as I did not. But, I hated the mess we were in. There was no logical reason fated would throw the two of us together. We did not make sense.
- But, watching Seren run away, trying hard to avoid watching her naked ass swaying as she ran, I knew I was going to have to follow. My wolf wanted some damage limitation put in place, and in truth, I think that was probably wise, given the fact she was running toward pack, full of emotion and likely ready to spill that secret to whoever may be ready to listen.
- I needed her to hear my side of the story first. She needed to know why I had done what I had. She had to understand, right? She looked as hurt and as confused as me at the fact we were mates. I hoped that would work in my favour.
