Chapter 92 Getting Ready
- I walk away from them with apparent calm. I can't show even a hint of concern or desperation, I'd rather die than give someone as dirty as Richard the satisfaction.
- I feel the gaze of the stranger behind me, someone whose name I don't even know. I can't lie to myself and deny the damn reality. That man dazzled me. Between his deep, gravelly voice, his impressive appearance, and the seductive character impossible to resist, he managed to deceive my neurons responsible for rejecting anything potentially destabilizing. Because of that, on one hand, I feel really foolish. Turns out I'm not as tough or as smart as I thought, if just a deep look from his dark eyes could hypnotize me. On the other hand, I feel a mix of strange feelings, after four years of hating everything related to the opposite sex, here comes one who, if he insists, could achieve many things. It's clear to me that I couldn't resist his charms much, to say the least.
- I pass by the girls who are still rehearsing on the tracks and head towards my dressing room. As I walk down the hallway leading to the rooms, I hear excitement and conversations at the top of their lungs about what happened earlier in the hall. A proud smile forms on my lips as I hear them talking about me. I'm not one who needs flattery to feel good, in fact, I hate it, but it feels great to have taught the lesson I intended.
