Chapter 110 It's Not My Reality
- POV: Amaia.
- We arrived at the street of my building and it is only then, when the connection between Adam and I breaks. I couldn't stop staring into his dark eyes for what felt like an eternity, although my action was reciprocated, because he didn't move his gaze either and barely blinked. I don't really understand what the heck is happening to me with this man, of whom until today I didn't even know his last name, but I don't want to delve too much into the feeling. My life is complicated enough to give importance to something that will eventually hurt me. And yes, I can't deny that I felt relief when I saw him walk through that door, saving me from a very bad night like a true knight in shining armor, I also don't deny that there is something about him that makes me sigh and, in passing, lose my sanity. And precisely because of the latter, I can't allow myself to move forward in anything that, in the long run, will irreparably harm me.
- "Amaia, is this it?" His question snaps me out of my thoughts and when the fog in my gaze clears, I look at him with different eyes, ones that are tired of everything.
