Chapter 19 Everything And Nothing

• POV: Amaia.
• My chest burns, but I maintain my composure. I never thought that the words of a stranger would affect me so much, much less, that I would dare to confront the situation like this.
• As I leave the private area, I look for Johnnie and see him escorting a client out of the club, with a little effort, I should say. I don't want to waste time and have the stranger I just left behind follow me, nor do I want to face Ernesto's accusing gaze or facilitate a meeting between them, where all the things I want to avoid happen, that's why I don't wait for the security guard and make my way to the private area, where the dressing rooms are. I cross the club and once again, I feel many eyes on me. I am aware of the scant clothing and how exposed I am at the moment, without any of the big men who always follow us, but the risk is just as complicated, or worse, than the one I run if I continue to expose myself.
