Chapter 10 I Haven't Learned Anything
- "What the hell was that?"
- I shake my head to focus on what I need to do and not pay attention to the intense gaze I now feel on my back. I focus on the girls around me who praise my performance and try to ignore the growing urge to turn around, to verify that the stranger is gone.
- What I felt, when our eyes met, went beyond a simple attraction. It didn't feel like when you meet someone incredibly beautiful, that you want to look at them because they are a good screen saver, no, this man looked through me. And although I should say that I didn't like the feeling, I would be a blatant liar, it felt like an adrenaline rush to be the center of attention of someone so imposing.
