Chapter 90 Harriett

• It was my regular pampering session, a chance to have an hour or so to myself and a chance to relax. Usually, to get my hair or my nails done, occasionally, if I was super stressed, then Lachlan treated me by booking me in for a massage too. I have to keep looking super fine for my handsome man. But today I had got my nails done, looking all glam and gorgeous again. They will be good for clawing at Lachlan later, hehe.
• Now to get that extra present, I wanted to pick up for Violet for her birthday before we got to go and stuff our faces with birthday cake at Ros’s. I cannot wait, I have been so good by not eating treats all week, knowing that I would be getting birthday cake with it being Violet’s birthday and knowing Ros’s cake was worth pigging out on.
• It will be good to see Vi again, seems to have been ages since I saw her, though it has only been a couple of days, bless her. Heat is a bastard. I remember mine. I thought I was dying, I was sure I was. I have a feeling Lachlan likely wished I was dying at some stages of it as I got quite nasty with him haha. But he wasn’t struggling like I was. Oh well, he is my mate and he is stuck with me. He says he considers himself lucky (though I think when he says that it is generally when he wants something) so we will go with that! But on a serious note, being that warm is not normal! It is hell for any she-wolf, and the men sure get it easy. Yeah they may have to put up with a few mood swings, but they get rewarded in other ways and don't have to suffer the pain nor the heat other than a little through the mate bond.
