Chapter 36 Violet

  • I have walked from the packhouse, trying to remember the way to the lake that Tate had taken me. Needing the space and fresh air. Not to mention distance from Tate. He had to deal with the fire he had set in his kitchen. Such an idiot! Can’t believe he had done that. Though he wasn’t the only one getting distracted in the moment.
  • I passed other pack members looking at me puzzled. I avoided their quizzical glances, walking with my head down. They would find out tonight who I was when Alpha forced me to go and make an appearance at the dining hall, and formally introduce me to the rest of the pack. He told me I should become an official part of the pack now. That meant being introduced to everyone, being part of arranged training, going to the meals in the dining room, and also being part of the events they arrange for the pack.
  • Just the thought of it fills me with sheer dread. Yet at the same time, a small part of me wonders if this is what it feels like to belong somewhere? But then I stop myself, because I know I don’t belong here. I am terrified the people here won't want me to be part of this pack.
