Chapter 104 Tate
- Being without my mate was torture. Today there was a meeting to discuss what should be done next. Lachlan and Uncle Pierce had wanted us all to calm down. Personally, I think Lachlan wanted time with his mate now she was home, which I understand. But they were not ready to call Damien, which annoyed the hell out of me. Considering when Hattie had been in his custody they were all guns blazing and ready to call, but the moment she is back home and safe, and it is my mate in his possession, it is not so important, and they will take their time and have a good old think about it. I was not impressed.
- Though Lachlan had tried to imply that Violet had gone of her own free will, and told Hattie that she wanted to go and that it was the end of things with the pack, to protect us, and he was considering if that could be the right thing to do because until this point he had not realized his uncle would harm somebody else in the family. So basically, how I saw that was, he was willing to protect Violet so long as it did not put himself or his own family at risk. Well, fuck that! If he was not willing to protect her, then I would be doing it on my own. I am not giving up on my mate just because she has gone to give herself up in order to help Hattie. How can he fail to see that?! His mate was home because my mate had gone and handed herself in? His mate was back in his arms because my mate had chosen to give herself up. Does that not mean she deserved his fucking help? I was so annoyed...
- I will go through hell and high water to bring her home to me. If Lachlan is not willing to help then I am willing to go it alone. She is my mate, and I am willing to die for her. I cannot be without her, these last few hours alone have proven that. Odyn feels like he is falling to pieces, always on edge, pushing under my skin like he wants to push through to shift to go and get her himself. I know he is missing her as badly as me. He is scared for his mate like I am, and needs her back.
