Chapter 63 Lachlan

  • We are sitting in the office waiting for Tate and Violet, probably a little earlier than Tate would appreciate, but Devin had us up early, so didn’t see why we should sit around waiting, should get to it and get on with the things we needed to do. So much to think about and consider. And I knew my Dad would be up too. And the moment I mind linked with him and asked if he was free for the meeting, he was on his way, like he had been waiting for the call. Though I had let him know about this the night before to allow him time to think about it all and think about what is going to be the best plan for us to protect Violet. We will not have her at risk.
  • Hattie had dropped Devin off with her parents. They loved babysitting duties, he was a much loved grandson, and they loved spending time with him, their little angel they call him. Though personally, I swear he was possessed, and definitely did not know what sleep was! I feel more like a zombie than a werewolf sometimes. I think the genetics of the paranormal got mixed up somewhere…
  • Hattie has made myself, my Dad and her some coffee. I need an IV filled with black coffee to survive the day thanks to our son. Though he was worth it, his smiles brightened my day, much like his Mama’s. He seems to have her never ending supply of energy too, and that cheeky twinkle in their eyes is almost identical, so I know we will have our hands full with him as he gets older. I sit and drink my coffee, so tempted to rest my eyes for a few minutes until Tate arrives, but know my Dad would never let me live it down if I did.
