Chapter 106 Damien

  • I had just left my pack to take Violet her breakfast. I have to say I have enjoyed the time we have spent together. I know that is likely the last thing that should happen, when she is technically my prisoner. But she is my granddaughter. I can’t help but look at her that way.
  • We have chatted about her father and her mother when they were in the pack, the things she did not know. I see a sadness in her eyes when she speaks of them, and it breaks my heart knowing she had to go through losing them when she was so young, and feeling so alone. She should have had family around her, but because of the thoughts her Dad had, he didn’t trust me. He did not trust me enough to bring up his child in the pack, in a safe home and environment surrounded by family, and people to care for her. Not to mention, had they not fled, they might still be alive…
  • She is such a wonderful young woman, who seems so intelligent and caring. I have not asked much about her wolf nor the gifts as yet, but that will be coming. The reason for me needing her here. The reason she is required. I want her to feel able to chat with me first, so she may give up the information more freely first.
