Chapter 65 You’re Hurting Me
- Max didn’t want to overthink it, but he couldn’t control himself. It was as though a demon had possessed him, for he could no longer recognize himself anymore. When he’d arrived in front of Imperial Culinaries, sure enough, he saw Callum’s flashy Ferrari. The fiery red was making it quite an eyesore, but what was worse was the picture of Caitlin sitting at a window table with Callum, talking and laughing while eating. It was apparent that Caitlin was in a rather good mood. When Callum then said something indiscernible, she lowered her head and chuckled lightly while rubbing her injured leg gently. Her motion wasn’t quite conspicuous, but Max noticed it all the same. He frowned slightly and called Dexter right away. “Bring a thin blanket over to Imperial Culinaries.”
- Dexter was already somewhat immune to his orders now. After all, he’d experienced something even more surprising, so his psychological endurance had increased by leaps and bounds. Very quickly, he brought a thin blanket over.
- However, Max ordered in a low voice, “Take it in to her. Her leg injury hasn’t healed yet, so her leg won’t be able to withstand the slightly cold morning weather.”
