- Max was called back to reality by Jordan’s scent. He looked at Jordan’s tiny figure before him with mixed feelings, and he came to realize that he hadn’t known what to say to the latter. Neither did Jordan speak as he sat quietly beside Max. He seemed to merely be looking for an empty spot to sit on without a care as to who sat beside him.
