Chapter 50 Hormonal Imbalance
- Caitlin lifted her head slightly upon hearing footsteps, only to see Max standing at the door of the hospital room, looking at her affectionately. The infatuation in his eyes was so tender that it was as though she was the woman he loved and cherished most in his entire lifetime. In the next moment, however, she sneered inwardly. The person Max loves most is Eliza, so who is Caitlin to him?
- “President Cooper? Why are you here? Didn’t you say that you’ll be very busy these days?” Actually, she’d long since known that Director Manning had given the paternity test report to Max, so she’d been waiting for him to come and interrogate her, but to her surprise, he only came after such a long time and was now gazing at her so lovingly. Is he planning to ask me to get back with him? Or is he here to verify something?
- While she was bracing herself, Max walked in with a beaming smile. The sunlight streamed in through the floor-to-ceiling windows and shone on him, seemingly blanketing him with a layer of gold. All at once, she fell into a trance. She still remembered that he was similarly vibrant when she saw him for the first time. At that time, he was an entrepreneur who was invited by her school to come back and speak of his experience in attaining success. However, his handsomeness, charm, and dynamic personality struck her right in the heart on that bright summer day. From then on, she fell head over heels in love with him, turned melancholic over him, and even fantasized about being his bride one day.
