Chapter 92

• Mr. Alfred rushed through the front doors of the mansion, his face pale and etched with worry. He had just received the news about Katie’s disappearance, and his heart ached at the thought of his granddaughter in danger. He saw Katherine sitting numbly on the couch, her eyes red and swollen from crying. Without a second thought, he hurried over to her and knelt down beside her.
• “Katherine, my dear,” he said softly, taking her hands in his. “Do we have any leads? Anything at all about Katie’s disappearance?”
• Katherine shook her head, fresh tears welling up in her eyes. “No, Dad. We don’t have any solid leads yet. But I suspect Mrs. Rojas is behind this. She’s always had it out for us, and I just know she’s capable of something like this.”
