Chapter 101

• Katie and Nora walked into the cafeteria, joining the line for lunch. The hum of chatter and the clatter of trays filled the air, creating a familiar background noise. Katie tried to focus on the menu, but her mind wandered, replaying the events of the past few days.
• As they reached the front of the line, Katie grabbed her tray and loaded it with food. Just as she looked up, she saw Andrew across the room. The shock of seeing him again made her trip, and she fell forward, her tray of food flying through the air and landing squarely on Andrew.
• Andrew's face turned red with anger. "Are you blind? Can't you see where you're going?" he shouted, his voice echoing through the cafeteria. "You're so stupid. I can't believe I even apologized to you. People like you don’t belong in high school—you belong in prison."
