Chapter 103

• Katie and Nora stood outside the gymnasium, gazing at the cheerleading squad practicing their routines. They had decided to join the cheerleading team to immerse themselves more in school activities and to hopefully shake off some of the negative experiences Katie had endured. As they walked over, their hearts pounded with a mix of excitement and nerves.
• The leader of the cheerleading squad, Mandy, spotted them immediately. Her face lit up with a calculated smile. Mandy was notorious for using her position to manipulate new members into doing her dirty work, and Katie and Nora seemed like perfect targets.
• "Well, well, look who decided to join us," Mandy said, sauntering over. "Katie, right? And Nora?"
