Chapter 87
- Lillian and Katherine strolled out of the mall, their arms linked, their laughter echoing through the parking lot. The sun was setting, casting a warm, golden glow over the scene. They had spent the day shopping, a much-needed break from the tension and drama that had consumed their lives recently.
- "Remember last summer in NYC?" Katherine said, her eyes sparkling with mischief. "When I tried to impress that guy by pretending I was a local and then got hopelessly lost on the subway?"
- Lillian laughed, shaking her head. "I still can't believe you did that. And then you ended up at Coney Island instead of Central Park."
