Chapter 74
- The police officers stood in the grand living room of the Rojas mansion, their stern faces illuminated by the crystal chandelier above. Mrs. Rojas, elegant and composed, sat on a plush armchair, her eyes darting between the officers and Sebastian, who stood nearby, arms crossed and brows furrowed.
- "Mrs. Rojas," began Detective Harris, a tall, imposing figure, "we have information from Katherine Alfred implicating you in a series of criminal activities, including attempted murder and conspiracy. She claims you manipulated her and orchestrated these events."
- Mrs. Rojas maintained her composure, her face a mask of indignation. "Detective, this is absurd. Katherine Alfred is a convicted criminal. Of course, she would say anything to save herself. The Alfreds have always been envious of our success and would go to any lengths to tarnish our reputation."
