Chapter 35 TREADING ON DANGEROUS WATERS

- The wall that the door is on cuts off almost immediately but stretches to the end of the house to the left, housing two recliners, a small table between them, and an old floor lamp on the left corner which looked unique in its own ways. A collection of blankers fell from each recliner, and it seemed as if many nights had been spent underneath them because it looked comforting. Probably a few of Diether’s family tried to stay warm while watching a few old movies that their grandparents had around since I saw a few at the back left corner of the room.
- Between the TV and the floor lamp lay the most modern thing in the cabin, a new gas fireplace set into the wall which laid beneath a small painting which looked absolutely cool. The back wall of the room holds a three-cushion couch between two or more tables on each side, and a large painting above it all. The right wall parallels a small bookcase and coat stand and an old assortment of items which I assumed were the things that Diether’s grandmother was hoarding. The back part of the family room wall also contained the entrance to the kitchen as it had a small pantry built off of the back of it to hold more of the simple ingredients that Diether’s family must have made into a flavor-filled masterpiece. A small rectangular table sits up against the middle of the left wall, the fridge and stove or oven line the right wall and a fully stocked spice rack rests on the back wall, which hangs over a rarely used microwave and airfryer. The kitchen itself is really rather bland but the food was probably great since Diether is an amazing cook himself.
