Chapter 485 Dalton's Distinctiveness

  • Her remarks caused Wynter's gaze to dart. Abruptly, she recalled his innumerable personal troubles. She felt that since he had been kind to her, she needed to return the favor. Feeling his pulse, she stretched out and took hold of his wrist. She appeared to be inspecting him. In actuality, though, she was attempting to lessen his personal worries. She could accomplish a lot of things as a medium, after all. But Dalton did not touch her this time. "Don't be careless with the Arcane Way." Wynter had the uneasy feeling that he was difficult to trick. He appeared to be well-versed in everything.
  • Was it a result of his extensive book reading? Wynter pushed her chin up and briefly lost herself in thought. "By the way, my children are afraid of you," she remarked abruptly. "Am I really that frightening?" Dalton laughed and pulled his coat over her. "You ought to assist them in developing their bravery. Request that they take a lesson from Wolf. Wolf was one of just four such creatures in the world. Not all of them were present, but they were utterly wicked and caused chaos wherever they went.
  • "You don't frighten Wolf. However, he also stated that he dislikes you, Wynter remarked nonchalantly while yawning. Dalton helped her settle in by releasing one hand and providing gentle neck support. "Apparently, I didn't give him enough money." Wynter had the unshakeable impression that he knew Wolf even better than she did. The black cloud around him began to fade as she pressed her hand down. She didn't shut her eyes till she saw that. Was Dalton trying to establish control? Wynter wasn't that gullible. She was aware that he had done a great deal of preparation to warn those snooty aristocrats not to treat her with contempt.
