Chapter 37 Getting To Know The Family?
- "Avoid talking excessively," Dalton muttered, maintaining his striking good looks. Margaret wheeled herself over and stated, "This is the first time Wynter has brought friends to the pharmacy," to Dalton and the others. Have fun, you kids. In the courtyard, tea is available. Enjoy it to aid in digestion. I'll get some shrimp and prepare it for you. Margaret saw people quite well. She was aware that this young man was not your typical person and might not even be Wynter's pal. However, witnessing her granddaughter bring someone, she was content at home. Wynter had disliked this pharmacy in the past. She used to claim she smelled like herbs when she was here.
- She would be teased by her classmates. She would, therefore, not stay for meals. Wynter used to see Margaret in private so that no one else would know. When she got back home, she thought Wanda would give her a lesson. Margaret realized that she would always feel more connected to her mother, even if it was she who had reared Wynter. Furthermore, Wanda was unlikely to compliment Margaret in front of Wynter. All of this was known to Margaret. Later, as Wynter became older, she paid fewer visits. Occasionally, perhaps once every six months. She claimed to be too busy all the time.
- However, everything changed three months ago after Wynter suffered a head injury in an accident. She not only seemed to have a different personality, but she also contributed to the medical store's renovation. Margaret was happy with the status quo. She had no idea Wynter would eventually replace her as her boss. Since she had reared Wynter, she was aware that her granddaughter lacked natural talent. All she wanted was for Wynter to befriend more people. They used to know people who were all about status. They vanished as if they had never been friends once Wynter left their group. These were pleasant-looking young males.
