• After the meeting with the alphas, I went to my study. I needed some time on my own. Ever since Lavender was taken, that was the only thing I loved doing. Being in my own space was the best, as I would not get annoyed by the simple things done by people around me. I used the opportunity to just think and reminisce about things that I wish I had done differently and how to improve the security of my pack.
• I still felt stupid for not assigning someone or some people to stay with Lavender. I left her alone, and one of the people I trusted betrayed my trust. I didn’t trust just anyone, but I never thought I’d be treated like this by the people I trusted. I really wanted to go back in time and fix the mistakes I made. But it was too late for that.
