• Lavender’s POV
• I lost count because they left me on my own for hours. The pain from the antidote subsided with time. It relieved me, and I was less uncomfortable. However, I was still charged up, so that was making me restless. I tried to think of ways to set myself free from the chains, but it was not working. There was no key around, nor was there a pin or anything I could use to pick the lock on the chain.
• It was so heavy I wanted it off as quickly as possible, but my so-called father wanted to bind me here. He wanted to turn me into his little puppy. No matter how I tried to make myself calm, it was not working. How could I be calm in a situation like this? I believed Alpha Caramel was trying to get to me, but I could not just stay put and do nothing.
