• LAVENDER’S POV
• I was scared of speaking up, but if I knew the right thing to do, why should I keep quiet? It was one of the many things our professor had told us when we all stayed silent during one of our trips to a city hospital. I could still remember his disappointed face when we all answered the question of what should have been done but was not done and we could not even speak up, which ended up killing the man.
• I always wanted to be a doctor to help people. I wanted to save lives because that was all that mattered. Yes, the job pays quite well, but that was not what I looked at when I decided to go for that. However, now I was married in Caramel’s pack. I have no idea if I would be able to chase that dream with an incomplete degree.
