• I quickly grabbed my envelope from the table, standing up the next minute, and heading into the mansion. With quick strides, I headed for my private chamber. The moment I got in, I placed my glass down on the table and quickly opened the envelope. I needed to know what it was. This was my chance. Since we sent the proposals, I have not gotten a reply from him. He had constantly ignored it, and now that he had sent a response for the first time, it could only mean one thing, but I had to confirm it.
