• Quickly, I darted my eyes around. I was not too sure if he was alone, or he came with company. They must not get to me. I held my stomach, trying to protect my baby. Seeing me scared of him made him smile even more.
• How did he suddenly become a monster? This was not the man I had fallen in love with. It seemed the moment he became an Alpha, he became different. Or was I blind to notice it all this while? Did my love blind me from seeing who I was in love with?
