• LAVENDER’S POV
• This action of his was really disturbing to me. I stared at the door for some time. I couldn’t hold him back or follow him immediately after he left the room. I sucked in my breath, trying to make myself feel better about this, but I knew if I did not have his approval, I would not be able to do it.
• As husband and wife, we were partners in every sense, and I expected us to be united in our decisions. We were supposed to be a team, working together to find common ground and come to a mutual agreement. It cannot be one-sided.
