• I took a glance behind me but saw no one. Was he trying to distract me? “Leave!” I barked, and he turned around, his wolves; injured and not injured trailed behind him as they left. I watched them closely, making sure not to miss anyone who chose to stay.
• Due to their large number and injured ones, it took some time for them to leave. The moment they were out the gates, the guards quickly shut the large gates. Beta Asher walked over to me, but I did not want to look at him. My eyes remain on the gates.
